iPad 2018 Review

Get the larger GB
A no brained getting the 128GB. With the 32 GB you will run out of space with apps. I deleted a lot of my older apps to get ready for the new iPad. Made sure I backed it up to iCloud, so all my older iPad stuff came over. My Gen 2 was 64 GB, so no worries with having enough space.

Case
I wanted a case that held my iPad and my Apple pencil. All in one. Love this case. I never get a black case, I want to SEE where m iPad is at all times. Make is stand out. I opted not for a keyboard, since I had one and rarely used it, plus is make the iPad heavier. Second, Steve Jobs would NOT approve.

Pencil protector
I read a lot about how the Apple pencil, and it’s small parts, can easily get lost or broken. I found a terrific holder, it protects the tip, holds the top, and keeps the charging connector with the pencil at all times. 

Brushes app
I used to us SketchbookPro, but now you pay per month or year. I loved Brushes app before, so I was easy to get into drawing again.

Apple Pencil
He amount of charge is found on your iPad once you set-up the Bluetooth. I am completely shocked as to how long it holds a charge. I thought is only held for two hours. I charged it to full charge yesterday, spend last evening drawing, and it’s still over 50%.

Apple Crayon
I don’t have the crayon, however what I have read it will work much like the pencil, but without the pressure feature. That’s a deal-breaker. Much a kin to a piano without weighted keys. The amount of pressure counts and is needed for artists.

I opted out of the screen protector. I had it on the Gen 2,didn’t like the feel. I haven’t had a protector on my phone for years, so I’m going that route.

Here’s to my first drawing on the iPad. Now on to my first musical composition on the new iPad.
