It has been three months since my husband and I:
I have made the transition and now have left my “working” life. So, if you follow me for new music technologies or education resources, you will be disappointed. I am now in a world of relationships, innovation, and new passions of being active in retirement. I will look for musical activities and use technology that involves me and the people who are close to me.
As I look back on the transitions in my life, moving from high school to college, then college to working life, it’s is about leaving your past life and inventing new possibilities. It’s time to move on.So, I am leaving the world of music education and education technology.
I now am concentrating on being retired and the new discoveries that require. Using my music and technology passions will be a given, but it’s like I was as a high school or college student, taking classes, being in clubs and organizations, but WITHOUT the stress of work and/or tests.
We moved to The Villages. If you don’t know about this place, it . To say this is a retirement community where people sit around is NOT the case. I am in paradise:
So, a new journey begins. It’s all about simplifying my life, making things easier and playing!
I started beatechie blog in 2006. I really enjoyed the blog and the possibilities it was offered to me.
But, over the next three days I will be closing it down and will only having the www.carolbroos.com website/blog. I am starting over. After 497 posts, it has come to an end. Think about it, everything you do will end, How you end it is your design. It was time.
I retired the first time in 2011, after thirty-three years of teaching K-8 general music in Illinois. Then I worked two years at the Golden Apple Foundation, commuting two hours each way. I moved to Florida and am working on simplifying my life. One the simple things will be having only one blog, one website. I choose the www.carolbroos.com since it was the first url I purchased and it defines me.
It’s been a great ride and I feel an new desire to blog only having on website/ blog. My philosophy has and will be EVERYONE should Be A Techie, it’s the only why you can exist in today’s world.
Hope to see you at the www.carolbroos.com site.
Carol Broos, upon completely retiring, moved to Florida to build a completely new life of simplicity through relationships, innovation, and passion (to play.)
